Just booked through Kemwel because it was over 200 less for a rental car in Italy. I noticed that they were housed in the same building in Portland Maine. I called Kemwel, and they said they were sister companies and that there are subtle differences, like they provide refunds only after 48 hrs and Autoeurope gives up to the moment. Are there other differences ?

I've rented from both companies and have had good experiences with both. Upon receipt of Kemwel's contract, I did notice their cancellation policy. Because their contracts can change at any time, they would be the best ones to consult on any other differences. I also suggest checking both company's prices often because they can change from day to day and week to week. This past fall, Kemwel's price beat the AutoEurope's contract I had already negotiated, so I also made the change. Turned out fine.
