Jungraulach Top of Europe from Interlaken

Good Afternoon, I would like to wait until the last minute to book a tip as I wish to choose a day with the best weather of course. Do I need reservations for any leg of this journey from Interlaken? I have a Swiss Card so I understand all of this journey is 1/2 price but how do I get this discount? There is a good morning, good afternoon option but I am not sure what this means and I would like to make the most of the day trip by going to Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Grummenwald if possible. By the way, trip is last week of August. Any suggestions? Thank you.

De, Lola may be able to opine on what I'm about to say. I believe there is a discount for early and late departures, but I don't have my guidebook to verify.

You do not need a reservation, but th etrains may be crowded if thee are tour groups on the same train. To get the Swiss Card discount (50% off), you show your card when you buy your ticket at Interlaken. The route is Interlaken Ost to lauterbrunnen to Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch. You do not go through Mürren and Gimmelwald; that would be a detour from Lauterbrunnen if you want to do it. It would cost extra and you would have to buy a ticket that goes InterlakenLauterbrunnenGrutschalpMürrengimmelwald-Stechelberg-Lauterbrunnen-and then continue up to Wengen, etc. I would not recommend doing this all in one trip; save Mürren and Gimmelwald for another day. What you can do is return to Interlaken by a different route from Kleine Scheidegg: you can drop down the other side of the ridge to Grindelwald by train, OR you can walk from Kleine Scheidegg to Mannlichen and ride a little (and slow) gondola down to Grindelwald, and continue back to Interlaken by train from there. Your Swiss Card discount applies to all of these options, but you must specify which route you want to take when you buy the ticket.

Yes, there are discounts for both---the "Good Morning" ticket (first departure, and one after 4:00 or so, whose name I forget. What I don't know is if you can combine the two discounts, i.e., get 50% off the discounted Good Morning ticket fare. I'll try to figure that out and report back.
