After reading lots of information, I am still confused. We are staying 2 days in Murren and are looking for the cost of the train trip up to the Jungfrau. This is our only train trip and do not think there are any one day or two day passes. We are traveling by car through Europe and need train travel only for this day. Do we have to buy a swiss pass for more days when we don't need it just for this one day? I have the books and DVDs but still need some help. Thank you

Carol: It can't be your only train trip because you will also need to take a train to get to Mürren for your first day. No, you do NOT need to buy a Swiss Pass. When you park your car in the parking garage in Lauterbrunnen (assuming you're driving there) then you can purchase your tickets up to Mürren at this point. On the morning you plan to go to the Jungfrau just go to the ticket office in Mürren and purchase your tickets. If you have kids <16 years old with you be sure to purchase Junior Cards for them. They are cheap and allow your kids to travel free with you on all transport in Switzerland - even the expensive Jungfrau and Schilthorn.
