Jogging in Paris Luxembourg Park

My wife and I are traveling to Paris in a few days. We like to jog in the morning and are staying near Luxembourg Park - and it sounds ideal to jog through - although we've heard that there are certain places joggers are allowed and others they are not. Are those places well marked? We don't speak French so we are concerned even if the place is well marked, we might not understand (unless there's the international red circle with the slash through it sort of thing!) Anyone have any knowledge about this issue?? Thanks in advance.

I didn't see any signs either. The runners just stuck to the main paths, which are pretty obvious. Luxembourg Park is a nice place to jog, but it's not very big, so it's not a place to be training for the marathon. Good for a short jog though.

I am not a jogger, but you might want to check out the Promenade Plante, access on the river side of the Bastille Opera House eastern end. It's an elevated path (old railroad line) that supposedly runs all the way out to the Bois Vincennes. We walked about a mile on it. I don't think bicycles are allowed. The hard surface is about six feet wide and it is lined with plantings on both sides.

My husband and I were just in Luxemborg Gardens a few weeks ago. We sat in the chairs which are set up there. We didn't see any joggers while we were there, just a lot of people sitting around suning themselves. I think we saw a few joggers around the Trocadero and the Eifell. There were definitely a number of people jogging in the Eiffel's gardens between the Eiffel and the Invalides. Elaine

My husband and I went jogging in the Luxembourg Gardens last October. There were hordes of people jogging in everything from racing singlets to polo shirts and khaki pants. There is a pretty clear trail around the outer perimeter of the garden, with a "detour" around the Senate buildings on the north side. As long as you stick to paths and don't jog across the grass you should be fine, especially if you are there in the morning when it is less likely to be full of other casual park-goers.

I was there about 3 weeks ago,, and there are definately joggers in the park,, they jog mostly around the outer circumfrence on paths that run along the walls. You should easily spot them.
