My wife & I plan to possibly use Jerez as a "base camp" for a few days to explore the area. Can anyone recommend any lodging in town? Budget? Less than 100€. We would preferably like to be near the historic town center. Thank you kindly.
Can't help with accommodations (sorry) but you MUST see "como bailan los caballos andaluces" at the Real Escuela in Jerez de la Frontera - fabulous!
We stayed at Hotel Dona Blanca. It was an easy walking distance from the main things we wanted to see in town. Nice place and cheap (46-87 euros for a double, we paid closer to the low end in April). Other choices we considered (but didn't look past Dona Blanca) were Hostal Fenix (40-60 euros), Nuevo Hotel (30-62 euros), Hotel Chancilleria (73-106 euros), and Hotel San Andreas II (22-45 euros).
Thank you. Other than Hotel Dona Blanco, the rest are on my short list. Many thanks!
