We are flying into Amsterdam and will spend about 6 days in Bruge, Brussels, etc, then on to Switzerland for 3-4 days in the Alps. Where should we go in France for about 10 days before ending up in Paris which is our departure city? We have been to Southern France and Provence in the past. What is a convenient and scenic destination from Switzerland? Thanks.
I've been plenty of times and recommend Alsace.
Alsace--or Burgundy. Or, given that you have ten whole days, Alsace and Burgundy - and a car.
Alsace would be a perfect fit for your trip, IMO. I have yet to do as much exploring there as I would like, but Strasbourg is wonderful, and people here really like Colmar. There's also a wine route and it's a very unique wine area. You could potentially go through the Black Forest on your way to Alsace as well.
Alsace came immediately to my mind as well. There are good connections from Basel. we've been wanting to go there ourselves, but haven't yet been able to make the time.
