We're hoping to spend four or five days on the continent before going to the UK to visit family. Any ideas on good places to go in March? We like walking, eating and drinking well, art and culture, but we'd like to keep our trip to a small-ish area so we don't have to keep changing hotels. Thanks for your help!
I also vote for you to go to Paris. It fits the bill of everything you are looking for. I've been twice in March, and have found the weather to be fine, if a bit grey. On the upside, fewer lines, was able to walk right into Versailles and buy tickets to go up the Eiffel Tower.
Enjoy!
Bruges is delightful - and reasonably well-located for daytrips to Brussels, Gent, or Antwerp.
yes to Paris/you can take a day trip to Versaille if you want or even Normandy but with four days in Paris there is so much to see and do it is worth it.
