Itinerary for Granada, Seville and Cordoba Spain

We have 5 nights to cover these three cities before arriving in Madrid. We arrive in Granada late the first day. Do we spend it, 2 nights in Granada, 2 in Seville and 1 in Cordoba or could someone suggest a better itinerary for these cities. We will train between them, arriving in Madrid on our 6th day.

So you really only have one day in Granada, about 1.5 in Seville (if you take an early train), and part of one day in Cordoba. I'd suggest if you want to see the Alhambra in Granada, you reserve it as soon as you can, since if they're sold out you are out of luck. You won't have much time to see anything else, the Alhambra will take most of your one day. I didn't get to Cordoba, and wished I had, but I think you could adjust your nights in either Granada or Sevilla, make Cordoba a day trip on your way to Madrid (it's an easy stop off on the AVE train line) on the 6th day.

Agree with the other poster - Cordoba can be a half day stop on the way from Sevilla to Madrid. The highlight is the Mezquita (though the town is lovely and worth a night or two on a more leisurely pace). Granada is a 2 night minimum because the Alhambra is a full day. I personally think it's only worth 2 nights but others will differ. I'd leave the other 3 nights for Sevilla which is one of my favorites. You'll need a couple nights for flamenco shows (or all 3!) and the nightlife.

Thanks you, so, 2 nights in Granada, 3 in Seville and a stop on the way to Madrid in Cordoba it is!
