Itinerary for Dec trip to Italy, Switzerland, Monaco & France

Hi all. I will be flying to Milan on business in December and prior to actually starting my business trip, I wanted to take a week of vacation to visit some surrounding sites. Does the following itinerary look do-able? Is there anything I should scrap or swap? Thanks!

11/28 = arrive in Milan, spend a few hours sightseeing, take evening train to Lausanne, Switzerland 11/29 = sightsee in Lausanne 11/30 = ferry to Evian, France; Chateau Chillon; Montreux; evening train back to Milan 12/1 = Bernina Express train to St. Moritz & back to Milan 12/2 = morning train to Monte Carlo 12/3 = Nice, Eze 12/4 = Nice, Villefranche su Mer, Cap Ferrat 12/5 = Antibes & Cannes 12/6 = train back to Milan

Thanks for your suggestions, Steve! I'm flying into Milan due to the fact that my company is paying for the airline ticket since I'm technically going over for business. I had planned to stay in Milan until Monday but had trouble with itinerary planning.

While the French Riviera portion is fine, your Switzerland itinerary is not good.

A few things...in December, the sun rises just after 8 AM and sets about 4:50 PM so daylight is limited.

You have so much planned your first day you have not considered jet lag and just basic fatigue from long distance travel.

Third, some of your timings are bad. Have you actually checked to see how long it would take on your train routes. How do you plan to get from Milan to St. Moritz and back in one day on the Bernina Express?

Forget St. Moritz and add that day to your first part of Switzerland.

Here's my suggestion:

11/28--arrive Milan. Stay the night in Milan
11/29--early train to Lausanne
11-30-12/2--Evain, Montreaux, etc
12/2 Train from Lausanne to Nice (no need to backtrack through Milan).
12/3 remainder of itinerary as planned.
