I have been traveling to europe for 30 yrs and really like Italy's islands but m=not familiar w/ french isles.
thx in advance.
Name of islands/group, direction, some small hint?
off Brittany coast especially. saw an article in a recent travel magazine that focused on them. thx
Both Jersy and Guernsey are phantastic and totally unique in the world. They're British islands though but just off the French channel coast. It's really hard to describe them as they are so totally unique. They appear to be Mediterranean from all the palm trees and beautiful flowers. Architecture-wise and culturally they might be something like a Victorian English sea coast place... totally worthwhile!
Look at the photos of these islands off the Brittany coast, this may give you an idea of the ones you'd like to pick: http://www.linternaute.com/mer-voile/magazine/photo/les-iles-bretonnes-vues-du-ciel/les-iles-bretonnes-vues-du-ciel.shtml
If it's southwest off the Brittany coast it's Belle Isle and a couple of small others. Croix is the one just to the north. They're all in the Bay of Biscay. Does this ring a bell?
