What would be a fun plan with the kids? Where should we be? Special foods, events, parades?

Where will you be on Bastille Day? We were in St. Remy in Provence on Bastille Day, and there was a parade, fireworks etc.

We were in Paris for Bastille Day two years ago. There was a parade early in the morning and fireworks at night over the river with Eiffel in the background. A day and night to remember. The city was absolutely packed with people for the fireworks. We sat on a wall by the river which made it easy to break away when the fireworks were over. There may have been events during the day, but I am not sure.
