i am about to buy air line tickets (berlin - krakow). is tegel airport open for flights already? i read some time ago that it was being renovated. thanks.

Tegel is one of the older airports (one that will close when Brandenburg opens). It is certainly operational as I flew out of there just 2 days ago :)

Tegel (TXL) is open at least until 17 March 2013 - and who knows, maybe even longer. Eventually all existing airports (Tegel and Schönefeld) will be closed when the new BER Berlin-Brandenburg airport opens... sometime in 2013... or 14... remember how it was with Denver? ;-)
