Can anyone tell me if late Oct/early Nov is too late to be traveling in Quebec? If I do go, I will be renting a car in Montreal and exploring Quebec City, Mont-Tremblant National park and some of the quaint little villages in the area (any recommendations here would help!). I would also like to catch some fall colors if it is not too late. I have no experience driving in snow or icy conditions. Any thoughts? Thanks.
It's too late; they close the border on Columbus Day:-). Seriously, though, we went to Quebec City in mid-November last year and loved it. The weather was great, although we had some snow flurries the day we arrived but the snow came and went in a matter of minutes. We did go to Montreal for a couple of days in late November a few years and it did snow. But late October/early Novemeber is unlikely. For advice as to Quebec City, here's my travel blog for that trip:

I suggest you take your query to the Frommer Forums where there is a board dedicated to Canada broken down into provinces. You are much more likely to get answers from Canadians there. As a Canadian I prefer not to answer because this is a Europe Travel board.
