We are currently enjoying the beautiful City of Lights. We think we would like to see the show at Moulin Rouge, but are a little hesitant since it is expensive. Is it worth it or is it over-rated? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am a professional dancer and felt I had to go to Moulin Rouge for the history. Yes it is over rated, but I am glad that I went at the same time. The production itself is average at best, but if you do not plan to come back to Paris, it is an icon that you might regret not seeing. One bonus is your table comes with champagne. I live in Las Vegas and am a little jaded with the level of quality shows available. It depends on the reason why you are going. Enjoy either way!!

My wife and I were in Paris for 3 weeks last year and though it was worth it. If I had it over to do again, I would have gotten dinner with it since you are already paying a lot - book online in advance! The dancing probably wasn't the greateset as the other post said but the costumers were unbelievable. From a male's perspective, after a while you didn't notice the naked torsos as much.
