We depart next Tuesday for 6 weeks in Europe, starting in Germany and heading to Italy. I will have to take clothing to span the seasons, but am trying to figure out the shoes. I like to wear sandals as long as itnis warm enough (above 15 C.or so, and not raining). I will of course have other shoes for cool and wet: just trying to decide whether to take one pair or two of sandals. Thanks.
You don't say where you are going in Germany and the weather varies between Berlin & Hamburg and the southern part of Bavaria near the Alps. Right now in Frankfurt it feels like fall. Quite cool in the morning where you need to wear a jacket, then by afternoon if it gets sunny (we have had rain every day) the jacket may come off, go back on, come off, etc. all day. Evenings you may want a jacket again. Due to the rain, you won't want to wear sandals. Next week, the weather may be different. It may be sunny and warm every day, but I doubt it will be hot. I would leave the 2nd pair of sandals at home.
Thanks, Jo. Mew will be starting in Berlin and working our way south through Bamberg, Munich, mand Garmisch-Partenkirchenover a week. Sounds like I should just stick with one pair of sandals.
