We are traveling by train from Munich to Berlin with a stop in Dresden for one night and second guessing ourselves. We were wondering if it was worth our time to stop in Dresden? It would take away the time spent in Dresden from our visit to Berlin. Thanks.

That's a tough question--I really enjoyed our time in Berlin (5 nights) as there is so much to see! We stopped over in Dresden for a few hours on our way to Prague and felt like that was enough time. Could you consider just a stopover for a few hours rather than an overnight stay? It's a short walk from the train station to the main part of the city and there are storage lockers for your luggage at the train station.

My wife and I were there at Christmas and found it very nice. We travel lots so have lots to compare with Spend the night !!

I always like to go to a smaller city in a country I'm visiting, not just the large capital city. I was in Dresden for one night five years ago. It's worth a few hours of your time, I'm sure. I visited the Frauenkirche church (not inside, it wasn't finished then but it is now) and a museum dedicated to the Feb 1945 fire bombing.
