Is day/overnight trip to Paris possible?

My husband and I will be in Germany next month beginning Easter weekend through March 31st. We are staying in Miltenberg, southeast of Frankfurt and wondered if Paris was a possible day trip/overnight trip from Aschaffenburg? I thought I remember reading somewhere that it was at least 4 hours by train but I wasn't sure if I was reading it right. We were just thinking of all possibilities of various things to do and if we wanted to do something completely out of the ordinary and go to Paris.

What will Easter weekend be like in Europe other than everything being closed on Sunday?

Thanks!
Karen

There is much too much time spent in travel in order to make Paris an enjoyable trip. If you have been to Paris before, we suppose that a side trip is ok. If you have never sampled Paris to try to do so in a single, very shortened day, would be ridiculous and a waste of your time

Not worth going that distance and spending that much money for just 1 night.Look for something closer and save Paris for when you have more time to enjoy it,

Easter in Germany means everything closed on Goodfriday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday! Shops close Thursday nite, 10pm until Saturday morning, 8am. Then they close Sat 10pm and won't reopen until Tuesday, 8am! This year Easter is very early so the weather might not be as great. As to Paris: Bullet train from Frankfurt to Paris is just under 4 hours one way (Miltenberg to Frankfurt is 90mins and requires one change). If you book online on www.bahn.de you could get the total trip from €39 one-way. But personally I don't think it's really going to be worth the time and hassle. Have you been to Europe/Germany before? Have you been to Munich, Berlin, Hamburg?
