I'll arrive at Charles DeGaul airport and want to buy a sim card for use in my iPad in Paris. I'd like advice in where to buy the iPad card, as well as a card for a cell phone. Is there a store in the airport, or perhaps a better place to buy?
I've actually been considering getting the SIM prior to departing via iPhoneTrip. You can Google their site, and reviews. Overall, seems as if people are relatively pleased with it. Another note, one person dialed 611 from their iPhoneTrip SIM, and turns out its an ATT sim.
Excuse my technological ignorance here, but why does an iPad need a SIM card? To answer your cell phone question, you can buy SIM cards for them at the airport or a cell phone store elsewhere.
Nancy, some iPads connect just over wifi, but some can connect over a phone network as well as over wifi. For those, you need a micro-SIM if you want to have both options for ways to connect.
Brenda, FYI, here are a few recent posts that discussed using an iPad and/or using iphonetrip.com: iphonetrip iphone use in europe Cell Phone, IPhone
