Is there a difference between an internet cafe and internet station? I will be travelling w/out my laptop, but would like to be able to contact people from airports (Zurich and Nice), as well as, while I'm in Paris. I'm hoping that the airports, in particular, have computers that you can "rent". Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cathy
thanks. I just wasn't sure if "internet access" implied that a computer was available, or just the internet, i.e. wifi. for example, here in cinci some places may have internet access, but you have to have your own computer to connect.
It is getting more difficult to find true internet cafes now in Europe. So best rely on airports for sure.
Some bars have coin-op PCs for internet access, in Spain most of them charge 50 cents euro for 30 minutes. Hoever, these bars don't usually advertise their presence, best to ask around. Most hotels, hostals have internet connected PCs. Some of them are free for customers use (common courtesy to limit your use), the larger hotel chains charge more. (Hilton charges over a one euro per mionute.)
Thanks for everyone's replies. It will be most important that I have access in airports - so that I can contact my daughter (who I will be meeting) regarding any delays. Sounds like that won't be a problem. Thanks again.
