Internet Cable in Spain

My hotel in Spain says I'll need a "cable" to connect to their free internet. I've emailed the hotel but would also like to know if anyone has or knows where to purchase a European/Spanish ethernet or dsl cable. It's the Hotel Europa in Madrid by the way.

The RJ45 ethernet cable used here is pretty much standard throughout the world. If you have one here, just bring it along. If not, you could buy one before you go. There is no such thing as a specific European/Spanish ethernet or dsl cable.

In my travels I use this retractable Ethernet cable:

You can purchase it at Amazon.com and other merchants.

Just to confirm, the 8P8C (which Frank the 2nd has identified as RJ45) is the standard ethernet cable here and in the rest of the world. In a pinch, if you have an ADSL connection at home, you probably have one of these cables connecting your pc to your router. That will be fine for your trip. If not, a couple of buck in any computer store will provide you with a workable cable. Enjoy your trip.

I found a cable similar to what Michael shows, as well as a small travel mouse, at, believe it or not, TJ Maxx, for less than $5 each.
