What is the quickest and easiest way to get from Interlaken to London? Here are my options right now:
Train from Interlaken to Paris
Eurostar from Paris to London
OR
Interlaken to Geneva
EasyJet flight from Geneva to London
Thank you for your help! I'll be traveling from London to Bath right after I arrive in England, so I suppose that will add an extra hour and a half to my travel time. So if I take a train, I'd have to switch from St. Pancras International to Paddington, correct? Would I be better off walking, taking a cab, or taking the Tube?
Looking at it back of the envelope:
Train
6 hrs from Interlaken - Paris
30 min safety bufffer
2 hrs Paris - London
Total 8 hrs 30 Min
Plane
3 hrs Interlaken - Geneva
2 hrs safety buffer/check in
1 1/2 hrs Geneva-London
1 hr bags/custom
1 hr into London
Total 8 hrs 30 Min
Time wise you seem to be about the same. Of course certain assumptions are factored in (nature of a back of the envelope calculation) like assuming a perfect flight is waiting for you in Geneva. So much more potential for issues on the plane option too.
So with that being said unless it is cost prohibitive I would probably choose train.
The Tube ride from King's Cross/St Pancras to Paddington takes ten minutes. It would be a 4km (2.4 miles) walk.
