I'm really trying, unsuccessfully, what is the train station that I look for to get to Ober and/or Garmisch from Interlaken? I thought it might be Bayern (from the posts), but am not having any luck.

The destination train station you want is either "Garmisch-Partenkirchen' (might be "Post/Bahnhof, Garmisch-Partenkirchen") or "Oberammergau" (maybe "Post/Bahnhof, Oberammergau'). You should be using the German Rail website, http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. You won't find a station named "Bayern". Bayern is the German word (they should know) for Bavaria.
