we are driving through italy and want to go to Interlaken around Oct 23 from Milan or lake Como is it safe to drive then will there be snow?
Along the Autobahn portion of your route, it will be as safe as any other time of the year. You will need to take at least one, if not two high mountain passes along secondary roads to reach Interlaken, depending on which route you . Snow is definately a possibility at the higher elevations (ie, there was still several feet of unmelted snow at the summit of the Grimsel Pass when I drove it in June) but as long as the snow isn't actively falling as you drive, you should be OK. The snow removal crews do an excellent job of keeping the roads open. However, don't try to drive over the passes during a storm. You may also want to request snow tires from your rental agency.
Do you know if there are any special fees to drive into Swiss from italy
Yes, you to need to purchase a vignette sticker at the border to drive on the Swiss autobahn network.
