My wife and I will be staying with some friends in Stuttgart Germany and are planning on traveling by car to Fussen, spending the day in Fussen and then traveling at night to Varenna, Italy. Hotels in Italy are expensive and I was hoping someone could help me find an inexpensive B&B along the route from Fussen to Varenna. Or even a inexpensive B&B in Varenna. Thanks

What route from Fuessen to Varenna do you plan on taking? There are several possibilities according to google maps. When you look at a possible route, you could look up accommodation listings on that particular town's website. Use this format: www.nameoftown.countrycode Example would be: www.nauders.at at is for Austria, ch is for switzerland, de is for Germany, it for Italy Nauders is a town on a route you could take down to Varenna. It's in the Tirol in Austria. Found a private zimmer at www.maria-nauders.com Switzerland will be more expensive. However, since you are driving you could stay in the smaller towns at a private zimmer which should be less expensive. Have a great trip!
