Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive place to stay near the Barcelona Airport (within about 10K).

Unless you have a very early flight to catch from Barcelona, I wouldn't recommend staying near the airport just due to the high cost. We stayed in Barcelona and caught a very nice airport bus that took us to the airport in about 45 min. if I remember correctly. We were staying on Las Ramblas and the bus pickup location was only a few blocks away. At the time I think the bus was 10 euros each.
