Iberia Airlines & Iberia Plus name wrong

You don't say you've tried phoning them, that would probably be the next step after a dozen e-mails haven't worked. Good thing you're following up on this, because a wrong name can be a big problem, when you get to the airport. Your situation appears different than the usual name issue involving use or or lack of middle initials/names. Hoping you can get their attention.

I haven't called because the contact information is in Spain and I don't speak Spanish. I have envisioned a difficult time. But I will eventually, I suppose.

Iberia has a toll-free English line at 1-800-772-4642. They say they're available 8 am to midnight "local time," but I don't know if that's east coast time, or Spanish time.

If it's just the Iberia Plus account that has your two last names, just register again for a new account, and use that one when you claim your mileage on Iberia flights. If you need the name on the TICKET changed, then use the toll free number.

Daniel...you should be able to get them to change it to your AA FF number. Once you're ticketed, you should be able to follow your booking on Iberia's website and that, too, should allow you the option of changing the number.

Norm, after thinking again, I realized that I had called an Iberia number at first. , but the rep gave me the number in Spain to call. In any event, I called the number you gave me at 8:30 AM Mountain Time and got a rep who changed my reservation name for a $20 service fee. But it is done. As a side note I am actually flying Iberia business class from the US to Madrid using American FF miles (and then on to Cairo). Thanks for the help!
