Hello everyone my name is Oscar, and I am currently in Berlin don't really like it no one seems to want to help us. however we are going to be departing for Munich on saturday, and I have not yet booked hotels or trains, I have a eurail pass, what should i do, my budget is limited and I was wondering of any good bed and breakfasts or apartments i can rent for really cheap or somewhat reasonable close to the city, im staying in berlin at the holyday inn which i found on venere.com i got 4 nights form 185 $ withouht brekfast, now im paying 7 euros per person for breakfast so is 14 euros. can anyone help me, I need to save money to make my journey last!! Thanks so much!!!!!

Hi Oscar; Don't know if this fits into your budget, but we've stayed at Hotel Pension Locarno. It's right by the train station within walking distance of everything. Here is a link:

You could probably get breakfast at a bakery for a fraction of what you are paying your hotel.

I don't know the cost of hotels in Berlin, but if the Holiday Inn is $185, there must be less expensive places. Check with the tourist office for Privatzimmer. Pension Locarno, if you get the lowest prices listed, has about the lowest prices I have ever seen for downtown Munich. Of course, the bathroom is down the hall, but I've stayed in that kind of place four times, and it was never a problem.

We stayed at the Wombats Hostel which is around the corner from the main rail station. It is inexpensive and very clean. http://www.wombats-hostels.com/munich/
