I am going to spend 6 days in Paris and want a day trip to Riviera also!

I want to go to the French Riviera on the small jets you can get for 180 bucks round trip from Paris (EasyJet). I would like to just spend the day but possibly the night just to have the experience of seeing the views and beauty of the coastline whether by bus or walking. Does this seem feasible to you? What suggestions do you have once I get there to make it easier to get A BUS TO THE SHORE from the plane ride to see this? I know it is only for a day or 2 but I know that I may never see this area again and it's my dream even if it's just for the day..WHAT PLACE (TOWN, VILLAGE ETC,) WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THAT ISN'T TOO HUGE OR PRICEY.

I find it interesting that the same person asked a question and then answered it.

And explain how it's going to be a four hour trip if she arrives at 11 AM and leaves at 9 PM?

I usually wait until I get to the Cote D'Azur before I start drinking Pastis.

Thanks Steve for your reply. I am looking at it seriously now and thinking that I will try this as a day trip since I will have all day from when the Jet arrives at 8:30 until it leaves at 9:30 minus the time it would take just to navigate around finding the buses mentioned etc.to get to the waterfront. Rick Steves has a nice section with good info making this look "doable". Thanks everyone for your nice replies and suggestions!

Dawn, you can go and edit your own post, just hit the edit button after you sign in, revise it to reflect what it is you are looking for, and then delete your other, 2nd post and your Answer post.

As it is right now, we really don't understand any of it. Thus our replies. What you wrote as an "answer" is also very confusing. Also, you have multiple time frames, from 4 hours to 2 days.

We are doing the same thing only spending 2 nights in Monte Carlo in early October. Our train tickets, Paris to Monte Carlo, first class no less, just went on sale today for 80 ($96) Euros for the both of us one way. Standard fares one way were 33 Euros for both.!! The return trip is not yet on sale. We use the SNCF site since if you say you are French you get first crack at the cheap tickets. No, I don't speak French very well but I can use a dictionary. Cheap fares go on sale 12 weeks or so in advance. Send me a private message if you want more tips on rail travel or reasonable hotels in or near Monte Carlo.
