I am flying from SFO. I plan to visit Berne, Basel, Geneva and Alsace, France. I havent booked yet and still at the planning stage. Thank you !

Sistine Thanks for providing more information. How many days do you have for your trip starting with the day you arrive in Europe to the day you leave? From your itinerary, it seems you may have traveled in Europe before? Check with RS series of guidebooks to see which one covers Switzerland. He may have suggestions for how to get to Mont Blanc from there. Bobbie

Easiest is to visit the town of Chamonix in France by road from Geneva. Scheduled bus details are online at http://www.chamonix.com/transport-timetable,55,en.html. Alternatively there are hordes of shuttle services that do the Geneva Airport-Chamonix route and can eaily be found online: Geneva Airport is close to the city and easy to get to by train or bus.
