OK my hotel is 4 boulevard berthier paris-17EME and we need to get to CDG. This is the info I have found so far..Bus #54 to Gare du Nord and then RER B to CDG. It is about an hour trip. Is this correct? Any other ideas or suggestions? We are leaving on a Sunday and we need to leave the hotel early. Thanks for your help! Also any transportation websites you can pass on would be great. Thanks again.
Lisa,
Depending upon the departure time, the RATP Journey Planner suggests at least three routes, including the one you described. Are you flying home or to somewhere else in Europe? What time does your plane leave?
We are heading home to the US and I think our flt. leaves around 11AM
For a flight across the Atlantic you should plan to be at CDG three hours before your plane is scheduled to leave.
The first #54 bus of the day leaves Porte de Clichy at 06:40 and arrives at Gare du Nord at 06:52. The next bus leaves at 07:00 and arrives at 07:13. If you take the first bus, you can get to CDG on the RER B by 07:44. If you take the second bus, you can get to CDG by 07:59.
Be sure to check the bus schedule. Some buses do not run on Sundays, or have a different schedule. Found out this the hard way.
John,
It's good to be reminded that schedules can be different on weekends, especially Sundays.
The departure times I gave for bus #54 are specifically for Sundays.
That works. Just doing an FYI. Thought the bus ran on Sunday and it did not. Also, not all buses in Paris and handicapped equipped. If someone need a handicapped bus, they need to check the routes to see if a bus route is handicapped accessible. Been there too.
