I am going to be in the Riveria area and thought I would stop in the city of Marseille.
I was thinking I would get there late morning and leave early evening the next day. Then head back to Paris.
What do you advise to do in this city?

Some travelers like Marseilles more than other travelers do. Here's Rick's advice (but this is only one opinion): That the Marseilles highlights can be covered in a 3-hour tour, which he describes in detail in his his Provence / Riviera book, including walking tours of: Old Port, Marine Museum, La Charite Museum, Notre Dame de la Garde, Arab markets, Fashion Museum, and Chateau d'If.

hi Stew, Marseilles is ok, the old port and the château d'if we're pleasant, but i would only go if it was on the way, a full day is plenty. there is many other places i would rather spend the day in the french riviera or provence. have a good trip!
