Hi, We will be coming from Munich to catch our flight back home in Paris- CDG Airport. There is an overnight train from Munich that arrives at Paris Est Station at 9:23am and our flight leaves at 11:20am. It looks like we'd have a short walk to another train station to go to CDG or could maybe take a cab from when we arrive. So, would it be possible to get to the airport in 30 minutes? And would arriving 90 minutes before our flight be enough time? Or is this horrible idea and we need to just come back to Paris the night before? Thanks for any insight!
Amy, you should definitely get to Paris the night before your flight. Ideally you should be at the airport 3 hours before your flight time and it seems you will get there about 60 minutes before. You will not make your flight. You need to change your plans.
Follow Norma's advice and spend your last night in Paris. It's important to play it safe and be at CDG three hours before a flight across the Atlantic.
Thanks guys!
I agree with getting there 3 hours early. The RER trains can be packed and you might have trouble getting on, plus 90 minutes isn't enough time anyway.
I will make it blunt. Arriving in am IS A HORRIBLE IDEA as you suspect.
Rer is usually about 30 minutes,, but things do happen,, and you simply have not enough time to get to airport anyways.
Stay night in Paris. Enjoy it. Then go to airport three hours before next am like advised by anyone who has ever done it before.
My flight from CDG( on AC) left Paris last week at 11:20 too,, and I was at airport by 8:45,, but I have been there many times and knew exactly where to go etc.. I think its safer to give yourself more time.
