I would like to stay in France beyond the 90 day passport limit. Does anyone know what kind of paper work I would need to complete in order to stay longer.

Got to the French embassy web site for the required documentations. When I applied for a six month Spanish visa a few years ago I have to document my financial assets, medical insurance, what my long term plans were, plans a bunch of documents and may have signed a statement that I would not seek employment during that period -- memory is a little vague on that point -- and I think fee was $45. I am sure the French will be similar as they do not want you working or becoming a ward of the state.
