We'd like suggestions for a place to stay in Provence next week - 3 or 4 nights, 2 couples, self-catering is great, but a nice inn works too.

DS and DDIL give high marks to La Bastide de Boulbon outside Avignon. In the Luberon, we like l'Auberge de Carcarille between Gordes and Roussillon.

We're just back from Provence and had a wonderful stay at Hotel Benvengudo, at the base of Les Baux. Gorgeous place set among olives and flowers. Great breakfast. Least expensive rooms are the Garden ones, where we stayed. Not in main building but lovely.
