We prefer $$ sign places to stay, though we have gone both higher and lower depending on circumstances. Does anyone have recommendations for places to stay in Tavira or Obidos or both? Thank you, George, Pittsburgh

Oops! Thanks to a private message, I realize i didn't mention that Obidos and Tavira are in Portugal. It gives me the opportunity to shed light on a previous question. Our research, aided by some of you, has indicated that Tavira is an excellent spot to break up the bus trip from Sevilla to Lisbon and give us a brief taste of the Algarve. Because of the way A2 shoots up to Lisbon, it is only 4 hours or so from Tavira. Were we to travel further west to towns such as Lagos, we would add hours to our initial trip yet be no closer to Lisbon. Anyway, if someone has a suggestion for moderate housing in Tavira or Obidos (one hour or so North of Lisbon) we would appreciate it. George, Pittsburgh
