We will be using Granada, Spain as a base for 4 days of "white hill" day tripping. Having been there before, we know how hot it is in August. Coming home to a swimming pool is a wonderful thought. We will have been in Nerja for 4 days before coming up to Granada.
Does anyone have a hotel near the heart of town in Granada that has a pool and is not a big "chain type" hotel?

Good luck with that - I have a hard time imagining any hotel in the heart of Granada with a pool, but if you can find one, I'd be pretty surprised if it wasn't part of a major chain. I dunno, maybe you'll get lucky, but I think you've set up requirements that will cancel each other out: central Granada/pool/not a chain. I think you can pick ONE of those easily; getting any two of them will be a challenge; all three? Buena suerte.

There's nothing wrong with a chain hotel if the pool is a major consideration. You're only going to be sleeping there (well, and swimming). Granada still looks the same once you're outside the door.

Thanks everyone who is continuing to help with Granada hotels and with suggestions on the white hill towns.
We have identified a hotel called, Carmen in the heart of Granada ( near Corte Inglis ) It seems to get good reviews on trip advisor. It has a small pool and is in a good location and looks nice. Here's hoping!
