We are spending three days to tour the D-Day beaches and was looking for a little hotel/b&b on any of the beaches. I don't like big hotels and wanted to stay out of the city and be closer to the beach. I noticed there are many little beach towns. I was wondering if any of you have stayed in these towns and can recommend a hotel?? Thanks. We are going early June.

We stayed at this amazing Inn just above the beaches near Bayeux. The restaurant is simply amazing. And loved the Inn. See this link:

Wish I could remember where we stayed, but... Go to www.chambre-de-hotes-france.org, pick your region and keepclicking on an area or chambre. You will see ratings by visitors also. Now, this is a French website, and I don't speak French, however, spouse does. You can do the google translation, and I'm sure there is an English website, however, my UK colleagues insist I use the French because the prices are lower. Wish you the best.
