Any recommendations for hotels in Waccau Valley?

Town of Durnstein is a good place to stay; has several good hotels. I've stayed at the Romantik Hotel Richard Lowenherz, but another good one at a lower price is the Sanger Blondel. Durnstein is a stop for the Danube ferry boats which are fun to ride.

In the town of Melk is the hotel zur post,a great family run hotel within walking distance of the must see benedictine abby of melk, hope this helps mike de la pena

I agree...don't miss the abbey in Melk...incredible. I'll recommend this hotel there: http://www.sternmelk.at/index.php?p=0&lang=EN
