Hotels in Vienna

Does Rick Steves recommend any hotels? Yes, there are quite a few, in various locations and of various costs, all in the guidebook.

I do...Pension Suzanne...half a block from the opera house.

If you want a really nice place, near the opera house, fairly reasonably (not cheap) priced with a wonderful breakfast including champagne, look into the Best Western Kaiserhoff.

I have stayed at, and enjoyed, another Best Western hotel in Vienna. The Hotel Das Tigra is an excellent, mid-range hotel in central Vienna. They have several rooms, as well as their reception, lounge, and breakfast room in an historic building where the Mozart family once lived. Other rooms are next door in a converted apartment building. This one is worth checking out.
