Hotel Saint Pierre, Hotel Eugenie,, both on border in 6th near 5th, both cheap for area, Hotel Saint Pierre definately the less exspensive. Both are clean and very well located, HSP is on a quieter street, but both are witin steps of metro and RER stations. They are however very plain hotels, not fancy. If needing to save money I would stay in either and have in past. Hotel Eugenie does have mini fridges in room which I like to stock with juices and yougurts etc.

Will be staying in the same area in May. Went with Hotel Le Clement. It's about $160 per night. I'm sure you can find cheaper, but usually the amenities will be less. Depends on what your needs are.

We also have stayed 3-4 times at the LeClement. This boutique hotel has a great location close to Metros, shopping, places to eat, and a great place from which to walk to a lot of locations.

Jim,
Sounds like I picked the right one for my upcoming trip. Did a lot of research on hotels in this area and this was the most appealing one. Must have spent a whole day doing this. So many to chose from.
