hotels in seville, toledo, granada & cordoba

Would love recommendations in any/all the above towns. I have the RS book and looked at the websites but personal experience is gold. Thanks

Toledo -- La Posada de Manolo -- near the cathederal (easy to find when you get lost!), great people run this small inn...and a great breakfast overlooking the cathederal.
Sevilla - Patio de Santa Cruz - did not stay there in October, but found it , and will stay there in the spring...no restaurant on site, but good ones a few feet away.

Toledo-Hotel Cardinal-very nice hotel, loved the room and it is surrounded by a garden. Granada-Hotel American-right next to the Alhambra-great location with bus transportation to city, very walkable downhill, not so much uphill but not impossible-entire area around the Alhambra is very pretty with trees and small waterfalls. Had a quiet room overlooking a courtyard-breakfast included. Sevilla-we Pricelined it and were very happy with Hotel Sevilla Melia, four stars with a pool, and around 110 euros with breakfast offered for 10 E and it was a fabulous buffet-almost anything you would want . Room had a nice king size bed, quality linens, ultra nice bathroom, and was nice and quiet. It was a short walk to get to the cathedral and all the sights.

Can't help you with Seville (we had a terrible experience with the first place we stayed there, followed by a mediocre experience with the place we fled to), or Cordoba (we did it as a day trip between Seville and Madrid (I see no reason to spend the night there if you can work the day trip into your plans). But for the others... Toledo: We really loved La Posada de Manolo Granada: We stayed at the Hotel Anacapri. It was convenient, pleasant and quite nice, great location. But most of all we appreciated the help provided by the desk staff, who managed to snag tickets for the Alhambra for us on short notice (we foolishly did not arrange tickets before we started our trip, and were unable to get through to the ticket office when we tried during the trip). Both hotels are in Rick's book. We would happily stay at either/both again. Have fun.

Cordoba: Hotel La Mezquita. Nice room, decent breakfast. Inexpensive. Excellent location across the street from Cordoba's main attraction, the Mezquita.

Cordoba: Hotel La Mezquita (like the other poster). Good prices and breakfast, and excellent location, perfect for just one night. I recommend spending one night in Cordoba. Sevilla: Hotel Alminar. Excellent front desk, great location by cathedral, good breakfast. Clean, modern design. Granada: Room mate Shalma: Good location, bus to Alhambra stops right out in front. We had a very large room, modern design, excellent breakfast.

Also, use tripadvisor for personal feedback. I typically start with RS suggestions and plug them into TA and see how they fair. You can sometimes find better options depending on your pricepoint and tolerance. Mezquita and Anacapri are both excellent hotels.
