Know of any good deals on hotels in Rome? Under 100 Euros is ideal - but has to be decent quality hotel with easy access to tourist sites.

I would highly recommend the Hotel Italia. www.hotelitaliaroma.it.
It is quite small and cozy, just a block off Via Nazionale where many busses go to St Peters, the Pantheon, Piazza Novana, etc, walking distance to the Piazza della Republica and the train station, where almost every bus going anywhere in Rome starts out.
As I said, it a tiny hotel on the second floor on a quiet side street. The website shows 50 to 90 euro for a single, which comes with a great breakfast.
I stayed there in 2002, and it has been remodeled since then . They were very attentive and helpful.
A great place to eat close by, that the hotel had recommended, is Perdingianu & Croccoriga Ristorante. It was so great, run by several young fellows from Sardian Island, that I went back every night for 4 nights! It is on a side street,Vicolo dei Serpenti 8-9 also off Via Nazionale, close walking distance to the hotel.
