Hotels in paris for 4!

Hi everyone - any suggestions for 2 families of 4 in Paris in April 2010? I've looked at many of the hotels I've seem mentioned here, many of Ricks picks and cannot seem to find rooms for 4.

We'd like to stay onthe right bank, & close to some of the sites, looking for a 3/4 star hotel no more than $300 a night.

thanks as always!!!!

Have you considered an apartment? Vacation In Paris is an American company that has affordable apartments all over Paris, rentable per night (full week is not required). You pay by credit card in US dollars, so there are no hassles with sending a wire transfer to a private party. The company is professional and reliable. We had a nice one-bedroom, 2-bath apartment in the 7th for our family of four for much less than a quad room (or 2 twins) in a hotel.

Two words, my friend;

Apartment rental.

Last summer in Paris, or family of 5 stayed in the most amazing location for $1200 for the week - that's $171/day. Add to that the $100 a day we saved eating dinner in our apartment and making picnic lunches.

Although full weeks are preferred, you can usually arrange a different number of days as well, but I would think 4 would be a minimum.

Just do a google search for "Paris Apartment Rental" or use that as a title for the question here on this board and you will get many responses.

Our rental was here: http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/p210926

For those of you who rented an apartment...was it a short stay? We will only be in Paris for 4 nights? Is that possible?

Chris, vacationinparis.com does rent some apartments for just 4 nights with a surcharge for cleaning. I believe there is no surcharge on 5 nights or more. I don't know if this varies by the apartment. You might contact them and see what they have.

I rented from them in October and was very satisfied.

Try a search on venere.com. I use this one from time to time and find that staying any place with a guest ranking of 7.0 and above (with a fair number of folks rating the place, of course), results in some great finds. In looking at Paris, be sure to check the distance from the city center before getting excited. Distances for Paris are probably from Milestone 0 (Notre Dame).

Yes, our stay in an apartment from Vacation In Paris was a short stay---four nights. I do not recall paying a cleaning fee; but the rate for a stay of less than 5 nights is a bit higher. Still, far less than a hotel room for four, and much more comfortable. Besides, you can have the fun of shopping in the markets and cooking "in" a night or two during your stay. Our teen girls (who are rather sophisticated when it comes to dining) much preferred this to going to restaurants.

Apartments for families are definitely a good choice. In a hotel in Paris, you'll get a tiny room for the 4 of you. With an apartment, although still small, you'll have a couple of rooms, plus a kitchen and laundry facilities.

We rented an apartment for our family of 4 for 3 nights in Paris this summer thru Cross Pollinate - they were very helpful and have several listed on their website
