We will be in Paris in May-please suggest which area is best to see the main sightes in Paris and any recommendations for hotels or B & B's. Thank you

Sharon, you asked which areas are near the main sights. Go to Google Map or Google Earth and look at a map of Paris; the main sights are nearest to the river, on both sides, and thus the arrondisement (districts) that border the Seine River on both sides of the river, in the center city, are the closest to the main sights--this is arrondisement 1 thru 7. The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th seem to be the most popular with travelers reporting in here.
