How far in advance of my stay can I take advantage of their "Early Bird" Discounts by booking online with the hotels direct? Drawback is none refundable ect...?

I am not aware of "Early Bird" discounts in Munich, but, starting on Page 92 of RS Germany 2011 Guide Book, is a listing for "Sleeping in Munich" which list some places with discounts by various means.

Thanks I will look that up. But for instance I found two hotels that I liked their location and I filled in the dates and they offered
a discount for early booking. But I am so far out that I do not want to commit to one or the other just yet? I was just wonder how near my trip I might be able to still get the early booking discount ? That is all? Did not know if their was an industry standard on that one for Hotels in Europe?? Thanks again I will continue my search

Why dont you ask the hotels? Sounds as if the decision (gamble) is your decision to make- do you want the discount or are you prepared to lose the discount and make your reservations at a later date?

I agree that if you have a question about a hotel, especially how long a deal is valid for, the best place to start is with the hotel itself. Good luck...

Thanks to all for your input. Collectively we are smarter then I am solo. Yes in deed, after further discussion with the hotel. I found that there is no "Industry Standard" but the answer for this individual hotel was 15 days of advanced booking for the discount. And yes I got the answer from the hotel itself. Thanks for your wise
