Hotels in Granada, Spain

We will be visiting our daughter in Granada during Easter week and are wondering if anyone has suggestions for hotels?

For an interesting place check out this small inn: Carmen de la Alcubilla del Caracol. It has many favorable reviews on tripadvisor.com including ours. We had the top floor with a balcony which looked out over the city and to the mountains in the distance. It enjoys excellent access to the Alhambra - a bit of a walk downhill to the city center.

We also liked Hotel Anacapri. I wouldn't call our room charming but it was good for a family of four. The location is great if you want to be in the action. Love Granada!

We LOVED the Carmen when we visited this past March. They are a very small place though and I know some cities in Spain are very crowded during Easter week, so start checking now!

Hotel Guadalupe was great on 12/25. It is right at the Alhambra and if you are driving they have an agreement with the Alhambra's parking lot that gets you a daily rate of €13.50 if I recall. It is super easy to get to via the Ronda Sur circulocution road (southern bypass). Javier is the manager. Clean room, more modern hotel. Restaurants. Downside is it's a hike downhill into town, but there is a bus both ways if you don't want to walk. We paid €50 for a double room. He was great about replying to my emails and offering me help.
