Hotels in Granada

Taking the bus into Granada. We would like accomodation in the main tourist area, but with good bus connections(luggage and all). Thanks for any help.

My husband and I liked the Hotel Macia Gran Via in Granada for it's great location. Of the recommended hotels, it's on the side of the city nearest the bus station. I noticed that it received mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but we liked it fine.

We stayed at the Hostal Viena in June and thought it was wonderful. It is just steps off of Plaza Nueva. The price was reasonable and they were kind enough to watch our bags after we checked out so we could tour the Alhambra before heading off to the next destination. (Nerja--which was a nice break from all of our city-type touring).

I too would recommend a hotel near Plaza Nueva. The area near the bus and train station isn't great and you'll be far away from the main attractions. We didn't stay budget in Granada, but we saw a lot of places in Rick's book that looked good.
