Can anyone recommend a few good hotels under $150 a night in Frankfurt? I didn't realize how hard it is to find a good european hotel over the internet... does anyone know of good websites to help out with this issue?

Try www.accorhotels.com. It's a big hotel chain, with several brands, from their Etap and Ibis chains up to their more luxurious Novotel, Sofitel, and Suitehotel brands. For eg., a search on Frankfurt shows 28 hotels in and around Frankfurt....an Ibis near the main train station is as low as 49 Euro (no refunds).

Megan, check www.hrs.de and www.hotel.de. Personally I recommend the IBIS hotel Centrum. It's very reasonably priced, a three star with AC in every room, only 5mins walk to the train station but also just a 3 mins walk down to the riverfront with its plenty of bars and restaurants. You can walk to the city center simply by following the embankment (about a 15mins walk). A floating cocktail bar is also nearby.
