Hi Juli, Rick Steves did a 'Travels in Europe' show about Brugge. In that one, he and the crew took rooms in the HANS MEMLING HOTEL.
Suggest you check out their web site:

Gute Reise !

I didn't stay in any of them, but I recently stayed in a recommendation from Rick Steves' book, Hotel Adornes. I would describe it as more of a large bed and breakfast than a hotel. It's a very cozy place, located in a quiet, but gorgeous neighborhood. The biggest bonus? Free, unlimited use of the hotel's bicycles, any time of day or night.
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel.
This is listed in Rick's link for Brugge about 1/2 down the page:

Hotel ’t Keizershof is a dollhouse of a hotel that lives by its motto, “Spend a night...not a fortune.” It’s simple and tidy, with seven small, cheery, old-time rooms split between two floors, with a shower and toilet on each (S-€25, D-€40, T-€62, Q-€72, includes breakfast, cash only, free and easy parking, laundry service-€7.50, Oostmeers 126, a block in front of station, tel. 050/338-728, www.hotelkeizershof.be, [email protected], Stefaan and Hilde).
We stayed at the Hotel Ibis. It is a chain all through Europe that is clean, consistant and has A/C. We usually stay in small hotels, but this is a good chain when you need one.
We came back from England through Brugge and couldn't find a room anywhere. We drove all the way to Brussels to get a room. Make that reservation!
Thanks all for the info on the hotels. I should
be able to choose one of them. I'll check out the
websites.
