Are the youth hostels a good choice(which is your choice)or please suggest medium price hotel. Thanks, Bill

When in Barcelona, look into HostAls, yes, with an A. They are small, usually family run, abodes that are cheaper than hotels and better than hostels. We used hostalhill, which gets mixed reviews, but we had no problem because we knew what to expect going in -no ac and toilet down the hall. Shower and sink was in the room. They do have rooms that have ac and insuite, but that costs more. RMy room was in front, so a bit noisy, be we knew that going in. That is why the room was cheaper. They gave us a chit to use at a restaurant across the street for light breakfast, so food was fresh and coffee was good. The subway is across the square, which makes getting places easy.

John, thank you for your prompt reply. Do you feel the hostal any better than regular Y/H, sounds like they ar a bit less cost.
